簡介：　　在《狂熱》這部影片里，平民社會(huì)的描寫代替了對心理和社交生活的描寫。影片敘述馬賽一家小旅店的女主人，在上陸投宿的水手們中間發(fā)現(xiàn)了自己從前的情人；一場爭吵由此爆發(fā)，結(jié)果造成兇殺。這部影片在展示人物及劇情上可說是一種新的風(fēng)格的范例，這種風(fēng)格并不是一種專門注重華美形式的毫無意義的風(fēng)格，而是一種既具體而又直接、真實(shí)、符合于內(nèi)容、并由內(nèi)容來決定的風(fēng)格。德呂克所以屬于法國電影的偉大自然主義傳統(tǒng)，就是因?yàn)樗哂羞@種風(fēng)格，而不是由于他所選擇的劇情環(huán)境。他的這種傾向，從他始終想在畫面里把人物同背景和劇情結(jié)合起來一點(diǎn)上，也可以看出。在《狂熱》這部影片里，德呂克雖然沒有采用盧米埃爾的攝影方法，但卻發(fā)明了一種使遠(yuǎn)景與近景同樣清楚的方法，這種方法有人常認(rèn)為是奧遜·威爾斯、格里格·托朗或威廉·惠勒所發(fā)明，實(shí)際卻應(yīng)該歸功于德呂克。　　影片《狂熱》賦予各種人物以恰如其分的性格，使海港景色具有豐富的詩意，并且還利用了追敘的筆法。德呂克的這種表現(xiàn)方法有一部分是從英斯學(xué)來的，但他把英斯的經(jīng)驗(yàn)融會(huì)改進(jìn)，使其達(dá)到更完美的地步。另一方面，格里菲斯的影片《被摧殘的花朵》給予德呂克的影響卻沒有產(chǎn)生良好的效果，那些泥塑的佛像、銀白色的玫瑰花，以及那個(gè)化妝得很壞的東方婦女，使這部影片第二部分的優(yōu)美感大為減色?！　　犊駸帷芬黄瑪z制費(fèi)用雖然很少，卻是一部成功的作品。可是它的作者以后卻未能實(shí)踐他的諾言。他和穆西納克曾創(chuàng)辦了一個(gè)獨(dú)立而富于斗爭性的影評期刊，名叫《電影雜志》，后因資金困難不得不停止出版。他在拍攝了最后一部作品《洪水》以后，就溘然長逝，享年才32歲。他留給后世很多有關(guān)影評方面的著作，但在電影作品方面，可以說他還沒有完成序言，就告死去，這對電影界來說，實(shí)是一莫大的損失。

He was responsible for the creation of influential cinema  journals like Le Journal du Ciné-Club and Cinéa, founding numerous film societies, writing countless articles and coining the term "cineaste". Delluc believed that films should be set in the natural without elaborate posturing, and characters should be portrayed in an intimate way where the past and present, illusion and reality can be correlated, all considered to be avant-garde at its time. He died only a few weeks after the shooting of The Flood at the age of 33.
